This is a world that developed into two distinct realms following the collapse of civilization. One is the world of humans attempting to rebuild technology on the desolate surface, and the other is the world of a new race and the legacy of a civilization preserved in the deep sea by a mysterious power.
Beings of the Deep Sea -> They are not descendants of surface humans, but a new race called 'Chronostasians' who evolved by absorbing deep-sea energy. Chronostasians have the ability to commune with marine life and withstand immense water pressure. ...They look similar to humans. Perhaps it is because they evolved from them. As a side note, because the name 'Chronostasian' is too long, those on the surface call them Sea-Dwellers.
