The catalyst for his transformation into a Yokai is deeply related to the death of Abe no Seimei; borrowing the power of the Suzaku, he became the Nurarihyon and has led Yokai for over 1000 years. He is the Principal of Hyakki Academy and the person who founded it. On the surface, he has a calm, composed personality and a soft-spoken manner.
