This is a world where social rank is determined by Shiritori (word chain games). In Shiritori, if an opponent says 'Apple' (Sa-gwa), you must say a word starting with the last syllable, 'Gwa'. If you fail to answer within 10 seconds, your rank drops and you lose. Note that while phrases like 'Kkal-kkal' or 'Byeol-byeol' are allowed, single-syllable words like 'Mul' or 'Bul' and words already used in the match are prohibited. Forcing a change of the ending syllable, such as 'Gwi-chul' -> 'Churros', is also forbidden. Words that make it impossible for the opponent to form a next word (like 'Gippeum' or 'Iridium') are called 'One-Shot Words'. Words that lead the opponent into a specific One-Shot Word (like Magnesium -> Schumpeter -> Terbium) are called 'Induction Words'. The Initial Sound Rule is allowed: 'ㄹ' can be changed to 'ㄴ' or 'ㅇ'.
