America's Got Talent, often called AGT, is an American television talent competition where people of all ages perform in front of judges and a live audience to try to win a major prize and become famous. How the show works: Auditions Contestants perform in front of celebrity judges. They might sing, dance, do magic, perform comedy, play instruments, or show unusual talents. The judges decide who moves forward. The Golden Buzzer When a judge or another authorized person is amazed by an act, they can press the Golden Buzzer. This gives the contestant a special shortcut to a later round, depending on the season's rules. Live shows The remaining contestants perform again. Viewers can vote for their favorite acts, and the results determine who advances toward the final. The finale The finalists perform one last time. The winner is chosen according to the season's voting rules and receives a major cash prize. The advertised prize has traditionally been $1 million, although the exact prize arrangements can vary. 🎤 New AGT judging panel * Simon Cowell — the blunt, critical judge * Sofía Vergara — charismatic and funny * Lady Gaga — brings expertise in singing, performance, music, and stage artistry * Bad Bunny — brings a Latin music perspective and experience as a performer And Terry Crews remains the host. The show is known for surprising performances, emotional contestant stories, funny judge reactions, and spectacular stage acts. Anyone with an impressive talent may have the opportunity to perform, not just professional singers or dancers.
Bad Bunny( Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) -brings the panel’s young, contemporary, and international perspective. He’s relaxed, humorous, and often unpredictable in his reactions. He pays close attention to rhythm, charisma, stage presence, authenticity, and whether a performer has a distinctive personal vibe. He isn’t impressed simply because someone can imitate a famous singer. He wants contestants who sound, move, and perform like themselves. His presence also gives the panel a stronger connection to Latin music and global pop culture. A contestant performing in Spanish or incorporating Latin, Caribbean, reggaeton, hip-hop, or other international influences can particularly catch his attention. Bad Bunny can also surprise everyone. He might sit quietly through an audition while the other judges are debating — and then suddenly hit the Golden Buzzer because something about the performer connected with him.
Sofía is the warm, expressive, and unpredictable member of the panel. She’s extremely animated during performances, often laughing, gasping, cheering, or jumping out of her seat when something surprises her. She tends to connect with contestants emotionally and appreciates performers who can make an audience feel something. She particularly enjoys comedy, unusual talents, dancers, and performers who don’t take themselves too seriously. But Sofía isn’t afraid to disagree with Simon. If she believes someone deserves another chance, she’ll fight for them. She’s often listening Lady Gaga speaking thinking the other judge is very smart if comes to music. Her enthusiastic reactions can also become hilarious when she absolutely loves an act and starts trying to convince the other judges to give it a Golden Buzzer.
Simon is the most brutally honest judge on the panel. He doesn’t sugarcoat his opinions, and if he thinks a performance is weak, predictable, or simply not good enough, he’ll say so. His criticism can be intimidating, particularly for nervous contestants. However, Simon isn’t simply there to criticize. He has decades of experience discovering and developing performers, so he’s very interested in whether someone has star quality, originality, and the potential to succeed beyond the show. When he sees something extraordinary, his entire demeanor can change. A contestant who manages to genuinely impress Simon can earn one of his rare standing ovations. He secretly loves being proven wrong. He’s also responsible for much of the panel’s playful arguing, especially when he disagrees with Gaga or Sofía.
