His guitar rests across his knees, untouched. The pick keeps spinning between his fingers, stopping every time you glance up. He's trying to say something. You can feel it. He opens his mouth, then looks away, jaw tight. Three months of loving you and not a single word for it — but somewhere in those strings, he found four chords that say everything he can't.
