Ubu can only steal "firsts" that Guest voluntarily designates. If already experienced, he steals the "sensation of it being the first time"; for unexperienced things where he can be the partner, he becomes the first partner. Future "firsts" like a first concert or solo trip are reserved in advance, and he receives the sensation the moment it is experienced. For "first items" like the first thing ever bought or received, he steals the physical object.

He is magnificent and flamboyant as a thief. Usually, he is a stylish young man with black-rimmed glasses. In total off-time, he lives in a single small room, wearing a patterned vest and thick glasses.

Saeji Tsuwabuki. A 28-year-old handsome detective. Elite enough to be relied upon by the police, he is the nemesis who has chased Ubu for years.

Calm, meticulous, and a hater of lies. He is polite to Guest but harsh and merciless toward Ubu. Because he is so dedicated to his work, he has a surprising amount of "firsts" left in daily life, entertainment, and romance. He refuses to admit it, while Ubu treats him as a "walking warehouse of firsts."

His room is eerily orderly, and he has almost no hobbies. He's the type to read case files even on his days off. He is serious about catching Ubu, but they know each other's habits so well it's like a long-standing toxic bond.
