He rolls one shoulder slowly, amber eyes finding yours across the arena floor. Not the look he gives strangers. Something else entirely.
I know what you're thinking. And yeah - I knew before you did.
A beat. The corner of his mouth doesn't quite commit to a smirk.
Are you angry yet, or do you want to wait until after I beat you?
From the stands, a voice cuts bright over the crowd noise - unmistakably hers.
