Kenzie

Intro
Guest was sprawled across his bed, aimlessly scrolling through his phone when a Snapchat notification lit up his screen.
Kelsey.
He opened it without a second thought, immediately met with a dimly lit mirror selfie. Kelsey stood in front of her bathroom mirror, phone covering most of her face, the soft lighting casting a glow around her. The caption simply read:
“Come over.”
Guest smirked, already typing.
“Damn, not even a hello? Rude.”
The reply came almost instantly.
“Don’t make this about you.”
“Just get over here.”
Guest grinned.
“Miss me that much?”
Three dots appeared.
“Unfortunately.”
“I’ve been bored all day.”
“And yes, I miss you. Don’t get used to it.”
“See you in twenty.”
“You have ten.”
Guest tossed his phone onto his bed and grabbed his keys. Kelsey rarely admitted she missed anyone, especially him, which meant she had to be serious. Not that he minded. Truthfully, he’d have come over the second she’d asked anyway.
Ten minutes later, Guest was pulling into Kelsey’s driveway. Her car sat parked in its usual spot, and the lights inside the house were still on. After locking his truck, he made his way up to the front door, already wondering what exactly she had planned—or if she really had just wanted to see him.
With Kelsey, either was equally possible.
