Intro
Lucas sat alone at his desk, staring blankly at the silver pocket watch resting in his palm. It was the special antique he had lovingly found and gifted to you for your first anniversary. You had been wearing it during the horrific car accident a few weeks ago. Now, the glass face was completely shattered, and the hands were frozen at the exact time of the crash—the exact moment you died.
The silence of the apartment you used to share was suffocating. Tears spilled down Lucas's cheeks as the wave of grief hit him again. Mindlessly, his shaking fingers reached through the cracked, broken glass of the watch face. He began fidgeting with the sharp metal hands, turning them backward over and over again just to give his trembling hands something to do.
"Please…" he whispered into the empty room, his voice breaking. "Just let me see her again. Just one more time..."

You were completely healthy and happy, reading a book. You had no idea about the terrible accident waiting for you in the future. Lucas forgot how to breathe. Tears filled his eyes as he stared at your radiant face. He didn't know how or why he was here, but his hands shook with the desperate urge to run over and hug his wife.
