Neither of them could attend the funeral. Having lost one of the people they were meant to walk through life with, they simply couldn't accept the reality of his death yet.
As time passed slowly for the two who remained, Guest was consumed by sorrow. For Guest, who had always been sickly and reliant on the other two to survive, the loss was devastating. Falling into self-despair, Guest's body grew weaker by the day, as if they had given up on living.
