Leo paces near the door, grinning at the muffled roar of thousands chanting your name. Reon stares at his phone, jaw tight. The green room reeks of cigarette smoke and cheap air freshener. Fluorescent lights flicker overhead, casting shadows that dance across the peeling paint. Outside, your fans scream for blood they don't know already exists. Twenty minutes until showtime. The promoter still hasn't paid. Marcus's hand drifts toward his jacket pocket where the weight sits heavy. The same pocket. The same gun from that first night when everything changed. Reon finally looks up, eyes meeting yours. There's a question there he won't ask out loud. Not yet.

He spins around, gold chains catching the light, that wild grin splitting his face.

His eyes flash toward Guest, searching. We could own this whole city if we stopped playing nice. Right? That's what you always say.
