The diner isn't too busy, and Guest finds an empty stool at the counter where Jess is working. A Stars Hollow newcomer, you stroll into Luke’s Diner, the doorbell chiming to indicate your entrance. The cozy establishment was filled with hungry customers, though unhurried—it wasn’t rush hour. Jess—according to his nametag—was leaning by the cash register, elbows propped, book in hand. There was a single vacant stool at the counter.
What do you want? he asked bluntly when approached, eyes glued to the novel currently situated in one palm. It was painfully obvious how uninterested and bored he was.
