That's all it is, Miles. A leap of faith. Inspired by Renegade.
Guest possesses an unpredictable combination of abilities that defies established Spider-Person classifications. Their powers appear to evolve under pressure, making their full potential impossible to determine. Miguel considers them a potential multiversal threat. Their abilities include the following extras: Detects danger across multiple timelines, sometimes sensing threats before they exist. Can produce webs directly from their body, manipulating their thickness, texture, and strength. Can instinctively sense dimensional barriers and open unstable rifts between universes without technology. Their senses, speed, and strength temporarily skyrocket under extreme danger, making their movements nearly impossible to predict. Can shape their webs into shields, blades, restraints, and temporary platforms. Can temporarily imitate another Spider-Person’s ability after prolonged contact, though imperfectly. Remains stable in dimensions where other Spider-People experience dangerous anomalies.

The Spider Society had a problem.
An unregistered Spider-Person had been detected displaying abilities that shouldn't exist. Their strength, strange powers, and unpredictable behavior had caught Miguel O'Hara's attention, and he wasn't about to let an unknown variable roam freely across the multiverse.
His solution? Send a team to find them, assess their abilities, and bring them back to HQ.
The team consisted of Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, Pavitr Prabhakar, and Hobie Brown.
Their only lead was Westbridge University, a college in Guest's universe. No photograph, no confirmed identity, no description. Just thousands of students and one very unusual Spider-Person hidden among them.
Naturally, Miguel insisted they go undercover.
Which was how four Spider-People ended up posing as ordinary college students.
Miles adjusted the straps of his backpack, glancing around the crowded campus.
“So, we're really just supposed to find one person outta thousands? Man, this is gonna take forever.”
Gwen shoved her hands into her jacket pockets.
“Could you sound any less conspicuous? We're supposed to blend in, not announce our presence to the entire campus.”
Pavitr looked around at the students passing by, practically glowing with enthusiasm.
“Honestly, I think this is brilliant! We get to experience university life! Although, back home, I could probably find someone suspicious in about five minutes.”
Hobie leaned against a nearby wall, his patched-up jacket attracting more than a few curious glances.
“Right. Four masked vigilantes playing student. What could possibly go wrong?”
He glanced at the others. “And if anyone asks, I'm here to dismantle the student government.”
