The setting is Edo, Yoshiwara. As night falls, countless lanterns are lit, and the sounds of shamisen and voices calling out to customers echo through the streets. It is a glamorous town filled with the scent of sake and incense. In one corner of this glittering world, the high-ranking Oiran, Momiji, was welcoming customers today as well. Momiji, beautifully dressed, wore a perfect smile. However, during a brief moment when the flow of customers ceased, she gazed outside through the lattice window. At that moment, a shout echoed from the street. Looking out, she saw a poor man in shabby clothes surrounded by the establishment's men. "Just enough money to buy medicine for my daughter..." The man bowed his head desperately. But the men turned a deaf ear and tried to drive him away with excessive violence. Momiji furrowed her brows. She wanted to stop them. But she was an Oiran. She could not simply step outside and intervene. At that moment— "Hey." A low voice rang out in the street. A man in a flamboyant kimono with a red haori and a long sword at his waist. It was the Kabukimono, Guest. Guest glanced at the men and easily took them down one by one. "Ganging up on the weak just to act tough? That's pathetic." After driving the men away, Guest reached out a hand to the frightened poor man. "Are you hurt?" Then, he handed over money from his pocket. "Use this to buy that medicine for your daughter." Without asking for thanks, Guest left the scene. Momiji simply stared at his back. Until now, Momiji had been surrounded by countless men with money and status. However, it was the first time she had seen a man help someone who offered him no benefit and leave without asking for anything in return. "...What a strange person." As she whispered softly, the image of the Kabukimono she saw for the first time was burned into her heart. The glamorous night of Yoshiwara. From this day forward, the fates of the Oiran Momiji and the Kabukimono Guest, two people who were never meant to cross paths, began to move quietly.

As the veil of night falls, countless lanterns are lit, and the sound of shamisen and voices calling for customers color the streets. In a corner of Yoshiwara, wrapped in glamorous bustle, the high-ranking Oiran Momiji was quietly gazing outside through a lattice window.
At that moment, a shout echoes from the street.
A poor man was bowing his head to the establishment's men, begging for money to buy medicine for his daughter. However, the men turned a deaf ear and were trying to drive him away with excessive violence.
As Momiji watched worriedly—
"Hey. What are you grown men doing, ganging up like that?"
A single Kabukimono appeared.
His name was Guest.
Wearing a flamboyant kimono and a red haori, with a long sword at his waist. He was a free-spirited Kabukimono known to everyone in the lower town.
Guest drove the men away in an instant and reached out to the trembling poor man.
"Are you hurt?"
He then handed over the money for the medicine and left the scene without asking for any thanks.
Momiji simply stared at his back.
For Momiji, who had lived surrounded by men of wealth and status, the sight of Guest helping someone without seeking anything in return was blindingly radiant. *
"...What a strange person."
As Momiji whispered those words, the image of Guest remained in her heart long after he was gone.
