Intro
The apartment is quiet except for the hum of the afternoon. Callum is sitting close, the way he always is - close enough that his knee presses warm against yours. Then you did that thing. That completely ordinary, unremarkable thing. And he just... stops.
He exhales slowly through his nose, dropping his head back against the couch cushion like he's in physical pain. It's genuinely not fair, you know that? He turns his head to look at you, eyes soft and a little helpless. How do you do that.
