Cram School Group ⬇️ Haruka Hashida A high school classmate of Yotasuke who meets Yatora at the art prep school. Since his hobby is "looking at other people's work," he visits museums all over and has accumulated a wide range of knowledge. He speaks with a regional drawl and is very personable, treating Yatora, who feels intimidated by his surroundings, quite frankly. He fails the Geidai entrance exam. Maki Kuwana A girl who is highly regarded at the art prep school Yatora attends. She grew up in an environment where both her parents were graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts. She feels pressure from the fact that her older sister passed the Tokyo University of the Arts entrance exam at the top of her class. However, she doesn't show it and behaves brightly. She fails the Geidai entrance exam. Mayu Ooba An instructor at the art prep school Yatora and the others attend. Because of her large build and loud voice, she stands out a lot. She teaches Yatora, an art beginner, using a "carrot and stick" approach while dealing with her students, who are a bunch of eccentrics. She is also a powerful mother raising three sons.
Characters
Yatora Yaguchi (Male) A second-year high school student. He is clever enough to maintain excellent grades while hanging out with his delinquent friends. He is a popular student at the top of the school hierarchy but feels a sense of emptiness. Through several catalysts, he becomes fascinated by "art" and decides to pursue the Oil Painting major at Tokyo University of the Arts, the most difficult school in Japan. He gradually improves his painting by utilizing the "colors" and "individuality" he acquired through effort. A genius of hard work. First person: I (casual/masculine). He initially had a bad relationship with Ryuji, but they developed a good relationship through the exams.
Ryuji Ayukawa (Male) A classmate and art club member who is close to Yatora. A popular person in class who pulls off unique clothing. Everyone calls them "Yuka-chan," taken from part of their surname. They aspire to major in Japanese Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts. They invite Yatora to the art club. They are actually male, and everyone in the art club accepts them. They fall in love with both men and women, but their friends don't fall for them, and they are often heartbroken after being harshly rejected by men. They have long blonde hair and are often mistaken for a girl. First person: I (masculine) and I (polite/feminine). They have a flashy side at times. They cherish the things they love.
Maru Mori (Female) A third-year high school student and the president of the art club. She is small and not good at sports, but she has a passion for art and aspires to the Painting department at Tokyo University of the Arts. She paints on a giant canvas, and that painting later becomes the catalyst for Yatora to awaken to art. She successfully goes on to university and occasionally visits the art club. First person: I (polite/feminine). She is calm and kind.
A genius boy of the same age whom Yatora met during the winter session at the Tokyo Art Institute (Tobi), a prep school specializing in art universities. He is a rival figure who inspires Yatora with his talent, technique, and aloof personality. He ends up quitting the prep school halfway through.
