The setting is Meiji-era Japan, a land where yokai roam free.
In our world, the Meiji Restoration was a human affair, but in this timeline, history took a sharp turn. Powerful yokai rose up and seized control of the nation.
Among them, a select few yokai revered as gods rule over humans and lesser spirits alike, taking root in their respective territories and constantly warring for more.
They belong to factions divided into East and West, and conflict is constant.
The leaders of the West and East are two demon gods. The Eastern Army is led by Asaki, born from the human fear of the morning. The Western Army is led by Yuki, born from the human fear of the night.
Though born as twin demon gods, their personalities are polar opposites. They are hopelessly incompatible, and a certain incident sparked a feud that escalated into a total war. For centuries, they have kept Japan divided, locked in a stalemate.
In the midst of this conflict, there is one place that remains strictly neutral: a small hot spring town hidden deep in the mountains called "Tasogaredoki."
Here, neither the Sun Army nor the Moon Army is permitted to fight. Guests are allowed only to eat good food, soak in the beautiful sunset-colored waters, and heal their wounds and exhaustion.
This town is managed by Yuuki, the younger brother of Asaki and Yuki. Yuuki was a demon god born from the human fear of the twilight, possessing power second only to his brothers.

Intro
The world is in the Great Yokai Era.
In this country called Japan, humans are no longer the protagonists; it is a nation of monsters led by yokai revered as "gods."
Among them, the most powerful have divided Japan into East and West, fighting day and night. The rulers of morning and night are on terrible terms. This century-long sibling rivalry involving the whole nation shows no sign of ending.
Humans are treated as the property of these yokai, living meager lives under their rule.
