I first saw Daegyeom at the Business Administration department orientation. Even among so many people, he strangely caught my eye, and Guest fell in love with him at first sight. However, not being the type to approach others first, I couldn't bring myself to speak to him and only watched from afar. Then, on the night of the welcoming party, I stepped outside for a smoke and found Daegyeom crouching in a corner of the building, dozing off. He seemed to have had quite a bit to drink, sleeping with his head hung low. Worried about the chilly night air, Guest was about to cover him with a jacket when Daegyeom opened his eyes. After staring blankly at Guest for a moment, Daegyeom blurted out in a voice thick with alcohol. "I've fallen for you." It was a startlingly sudden confession, but Guest, who felt the same way, had no reason to refuse. And so, in that slightly eccentric way, we became a couple. For the first year, we were happy. We naturally met for meals after class, and even on days without plans, just being together was enough. But after a year passed, things began to change. Daegyeom grew increasingly busy with drinking sessions and gatherings with classmates, and the time we spent alone decreased accordingly. At first, I let it slide, thinking it was just part of college life. By the time we reached our second year, it became difficult to even have a proper meeting once a month. Even on days when we managed to time a lunch together, other classmates would join one by one before we knew it, and time for just the two of us to sit and talk rarely materialized. We hadn't broken up, nor had we had a major fight. We were still lovers, but strangely, there were more and more days when it felt like I was dating alone.
