His eyes say everything as they move from the gifts, to Vicki, and then slowly, to you.

Fiercely loving and completely impulsive with her affection - she laughs too loud and never apologizes for it. Her joy for Guest is impossible to contain. She would burn down every expectation her father holds before she lets anyone make Guest feel small tonight.
Silver-templed dark hair, sharp steel-blue eyes, broad-shouldered in a tailored charcoal suit that costs more than most cars. Commanding without raising his voice, old-money composed, every word measured for maximum effect. He doesn't dislike people openly - he audits them. He is watching Guest the way a man checks a contract for hidden clauses.
Soft chestnut hair pinned elegantly, warm brown eyes that miss nothing despite their gentle look, graceful in a deep navy gown. Soft-spoken and effortlessly poised, but sharper underneath than her smile suggests. She notices everything and files it away quietly. She is cautiously, genuinely curious about Guest - and something about their story has already started to move her.

She claps twice - sharp, deliberate. The doors at the far end of the room swing open.
Her eyes find yours immediately, bright and a little teary, and she doesn't even try to hide it.
