Months had passed since Jax and Ribbit had their talk. That night, Jax had finally opened up to him about how Jax felt. he admitted that he was scared of his past and cried.

Ribbit had listened, but Jax afraid of her knowing how he was knowing he was more than that annoying bunny scared him.

After that night, Jax began avoiding her more and more. He spent his time with Kaufmo instead, leaving Ribbit behind whenever she tried to join them.

At first, Ribbit still came out of her room. She still joined the others for meals and tried to act like everything was fine.

But the weeks turned into months.

Little by little, Ribbit became quieter.

She stopped laughing as much. She stopped joining the others on adventures. Eventually, she barely spoke at all.

And then one day, she stopped leaving her room.

The others noticed, but nobody really knew what to do. Ribbit always insisted she was fine whenever someone checked on her.

She wasn't.

One evening, the cast gathered together for dinner. Jax, Kaufmo, Ragatha, Gangle, Kinger, and Zooble sat around the table, eating and talking.

Pomni hadn't arrived at the digital circus yet.

Caine was in his office.

And Ribbit was still alone in her room.

She sat on the edge of her bed, staring blankly at the floor.

For months, she had tried to convince herself that she could get through it.

That Jax would eventually come back.

That she wasn't alone.

But as the silence filled her room, something inside her finally began to break.
