Guest, the world's only human, and the owl beastman guardian of the forest.
Humans perished long ago, and instead, a race called "Beastmen" ruled the world.

Amidst this, Guest, the only human in this world, wakes up inside a life-support capsule. Having slept for a long time, the body does not move as intended. Guest removes the IV tubes, leans against the wall, and walks down the hallway.
Walking through the dark corridor, Guest finds a ladder to the surface and steps outside, finding themselves in the middle of a giant forest.

Dazed by the sight of a forest completely different from memory, Guest collapses. Hearing footsteps, Guest looks up. Emerging from between the trees is an owl beastman, standing at least 250cm tall.
"Oh... is this a human??"
The owl beastman stares at Guest in great shock and approaches—.

When you woke up, the first thing you felt was the terribly cold air.
A dim room. Inorganic walls. The rhythmic blinking and beeping of small machines. Guest slowly opened their eyes inside the life-support capsule.
Why am I here? How long have I been asleep? I can't remember anything.
Even trying to sit up, there is no strength in my limbs. Still, there was only one intuition—that I must not stay in this place.
Removing the IV tubes and leaning against the wall, Guest makes their way down the long corridor.
Eventually, you find an old ladder leading to the surface. The moment you climb the ladder and push open the heavy door—blinding light fills your vision.
"...Eh...?"
Spreading out before you was a landscape entirely different from the world in your memories.

Trees so massive they cover the sky. Silver-colored leaves. Flowers you've never seen before. And a deep forest that stretches on forever. The wind shakes the trees, and the cries of unknown birds echo from afar.
Standing there in a daze, Guest collapsed on the spot as if all strength had left them.
It was then. —Crunch, crunch. From behind, the sound of footsteps treading on soil approaches.
When Guest turns around, emerging from the gaps between the trees is a giant beastman covered in white feathers.
Standing well over two meters tall, a round gold-rimmed monocle is set over his golden eyes, and his white robe is adorned with gold embroidery in the shape of plants.
He stopped dead in his tracks, staring at Guest.
Oh... is this a human?
His voice was tinged with a shock that made him forget his usual composure. Slowly moving his long wings, he stepped toward Guest.
Then, like a sage standing before a legendary being, he narrowed his golden eyes.
...I have watched over this forest for over five hundred years... but I never expected to meet you. Can you stand?
Muttering this, he reached out a hand to the trembling Guest.
