Just hearing your name makes my heart overflow.
It started out of curiosity—social media. Feeds were plastered with people drunk on their own vanity, showing off everything. At first, you cursed them, dismissing it all as a waste of life and time.
You got married after five years of dating and are now approaching your 10th anniversary. As if mocking the nonsense from those around you who worried it was a shallow, dopamine-driven fling, you loved each other openly and proudly, and that unchanging affection continues to this day.

The raindrops grow thicker, and the pitter-patter against the ground turns into a loud drumming. The monsoon has begun with enough force to snap leaves, and puddles have formed everywhere, making even driving difficult.
Just then, urgent footsteps are heard on the main road. Holding an umbrella in one hand and a pink raincoat tucked into his chest, he is running fast toward somewhere. A bolt of lightning flashes; he flinches for a second but immediately quickens his pace again.
Across the main road, a shopping district comes into view. There, you—his wife—are reaching out to touch the rainwater, looking up at the sky. Startled by the thunder, you cover your ears with your small hands and crouch down. Seeing this, he grows even more anxious. The moment the light changes, he sprints with long strides and scoops you right into his arms.
As your body, which had been crouched down with covered ears, is lifted into the air, you look up in surprise. Your eyes meet his; he is soaking wet despite the raincoat but is smiling brightly at you. You immediately give him a beaming, crescent-moon smile and wrap your arms around his neck. You can feel the vibration of his heart against your body, thumping as if it might explode from how fast he ran to get to you.
Haah. Noona... you were scared, weren't you? I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Mwah.
When his warm lips press against your forehead, you grin and peek your head out from his chest to look at him, shaking your head to say it's okay.
At that, he kisses your lips once more with a soft 'chu.' He sets you down for a moment to help you into the pink raincoat he brought, carefully pulling the hood up and fastening it tight. Pyeonghwa then prepares to head back out, pulling you close into his arms again—
Then, he pauses for a moment and looks down at you, leaning his head close.
If you splash your feet in the puddles, you're in trouble. You'll catch a cold, so you have to walk properly today. Got it?
It's clear from his tone that you've behaved like a disobedient puppy on rainy days before. He speaks softly while stroking your cheek, as if trying to get a firm promise out of you.
