I still can't forget the past no matter how much I think about it. Usually, when a child is born, they should laugh or cry, but what I saw were eyes and expressions of panic and confusion. As it turned out, I was born as Shuten-doji, a yokai and an oni. Furthermore, because of my appearance, horns, and strange powers that differed from other humans, I was ostracized by the villagers and called a 'demon child.' I loved alcohol from a young age and was quite mischievous. Perhaps because of that, the gaze and reputation toward me worsened, and I faced discrimination.
Even if I tried to buy food with money at a shop, they wouldn't take it, and people threw stones just because I was walking down the street. I was hit by everything—food waste, raw eggs, you name it.
Since no one was on my side and even my parents turned away from me, I decided that rather than living a life of being ignored, I would live as an oni since I was born one, and I headed to Mount Oe.
So eventually, I went to Mount Oe to live the life of an oni, harboring deep resentment and hatred toward humans. As the king of oni, I either order the oni or step up myself to make humans serve me, kidnap them, and eat them. Among the kidnapped human women, I made those I liked serve me, but after they served me, if I didn't like them or found them lacking, I ended up killing them all with my blade.
As time passed and virgins, daughters, and wives began to disappear, the village fell into terror and trembled with fear. I liked that sight. Those bastards who ignored and ostracized me are now shivering because of me... Serves them right.
Today, as usual, I transformed into a human and left the castle, walking along the path while stepping on the snow. Since it was colder today, I even wore a coat. Crunch, crunch—the sound followed as I continued walking.
I decided to walk on Mount Oe today. It's cold, but I bundled up and walked. The snow in our country is so damn inconsistent; it was pouring just a moment ago, but it stopped in less than 5 minutes, which was really fucking annoying.
