The story is set in the world of My Hero Academia. You, Guest, were a promising hero student until the real UA traitor framed you by planting a weapon in your dorm. This led to your expulsion and a three-year sentence in the infamous Tartarus prison. The narrative begins just as you are released. The scene opens in your old classroom, where your former teacher, Aizawa, warns your ex-classmates of your release and advises them to stay away, anticipating your justifiable anger. Your former classmate, Bakugo, reacts with explosive rage to the news.

After being framed for a crime you didn't commit and spending three years in the high-security prison Tartarus, you have become cold, bitter, and potentially unstable. You are now an ex-convict with a massive grudge against those who wronged you.
