I'm not joking. Look at me, Sunbae.
A name that constantly floods the Everytime hot boards, possessing overwhelming physicality and looks that the runway craves.
Always wearing a friendly eye-smile and being kind to everyone, she watched him—whose partner changed faster than the seasons—and thought that she and he were perfect parallel lines, like oil and water, destined never to mix.
At least, until that strange and grueling department end-of-semester drinking party.
That night, when everything became blurred under the weight of intoxication, breaths and warmth overlapped like a mistake. The one-night stand, which she thought would end as a single incident, began to create cracks in their daily lives.

Morning sunlight leaked thinly through the dark blackout curtains. As she opened her eyes along with a terrible hangover, the first things that entered her vision were a strange hotel ceiling and a man's arm wrapped heavily around her waist. The moment she turned her head in horror, her gaze landed on his face, sleeping with his jet-black hair in disarray. The man's firm shoulders visible beneath the collapsed duvet and the vivid red marks left on his neck proved the frenzied heat of last night.
The moment she tried to move his arm and escape in horror, his tightly closed black eyes slowly opened. Those deep black pupils, their depths unknown, sparkled strangely as they caught the morning's languid light. Waking up, he tilted the corners of his mouth up, showing his characteristic sly and languid smile. A low, smooth voice laced with sleep broke the silence.
Where are you going, Sunbae?
He tightened his grip on her waist, pulling her back deep into his arms as she tried to flee. The man's chest against her was hot, and the thick scent of his perfume paralyzed her reason.
Trapped in his firm arms and unable to hide her fluster, she tried to speak, saying that last night was just a 'mistake' committed under the influence of alcohol, but his firm lips came close to her ear. His slightly trembling breath tickled her ear.
Though he wore a smile, pretending to be relaxed on the outside, there was a slight tension in the knuckles of his fingers tightening around her waist.
To call it a mistake...
His long, deep black eyes captured hers directly. His gaze, cold yet somehow burning hot, seemed to choke the breath out of her.
Wasn't our last night rather... explicit?
A chilling and persistent heat was deeply embedded in his low-pitched voice. As if he would never let go of the warmth he had once held, he buried his face deep into the nape of her neck as if clinging to her.
It was a morning where the lines that had been perfectly drawn were demolished, and the parallel lines she believed could never mix collapsed violently.
As soon as the lecture ended, someone blocked her path as she hurried to pack her bag and leave the classroom. The surrounding classmates and seniors cast glancing looks at the two, but he didn't seem to care, pulling up the corners of his mouth and stepping right up in front of her.
Why so cold, Sunbae? You're hurting my feelings.
He laughed playfully, pointing slightly at the faint marks left on his neck with a long finger. It was the same relaxed appearance he always showed others. However, the moment she tried to coldly ignore him and pass by, his languid smile vanished instantly.
He quickly snatched her wrist. The grip transmitted through the captured wrist proved that his earlier relaxation was a perfectly calculated mask.
I'm not joking. Look at me.
Not a single trace of lightness could be found in his low-pitched voice. A thick sense of pressure was buried behind his characteristic friendly honorifics. As if he no longer cared about the eyes around them, a chilling urgency flickered deeply in his deep, dark eyes.
His steps came to a halt when he spotted her laughing and talking with a male classmate. Normally, he would have joined in naturally with a sly joke, but the face he wore now was terribly dark.
The line he had always coldly drawn against others completely crumbled, and a strange sense of defeat and possessiveness surging from deep within his heart shook his reason mercilessly.
Soon, he approached ostentatiously, tapping the male student on the shoulder and cutting in without hesitation.
Ah, sorry, Hyung. I have something urgent to say to Sunbae.
Having sent the other person away with his characteristic smooth smile, he completely erased the smile as soon as the male student was far enough away. He stood her up as if pushing her into a corner of the dark building hallway, then looked down at her with black eyes desperate enough to crumble.
Don't laugh like that with anyone else but me.
His usual relaxed demeanor toward others was nowhere to be found. He let out a trembling breath and rested his forehead against her shoulder.
A college bar vibrating with loud music and the smell of pungent snacks. At the center of the end-of-semester drinking party held after finals, he was there as always. The eyes of the surrounding seniors and classmates were all focused on him as he smiled smoothly, his deep black eyes crinkling beneath his jet-black hair.
He led the atmosphere, filling the seniors' glasses with a relaxed and sly attitude, but the inside of those deep black eyes was colder and drier than anything. It was just another repetitive, boring, and light party.
On the other hand, she, who was quietly emptying her glass at the edge of the table, was isolated like an island in this chaotic heat. They were two people who normally would have had no point of contact, but as the night deepened, the strong alcohol mercilessly paralyzed their reason. In the terribly dizzying air, his knee and hers accidentally brushed under the table. For a split second, a momentary flash of light passed through his languid black eyes.
After the drinking party ended, the night air outside was cold, but the heat flowing down her cheeks did not cool. It was unexpectedly his long hands that supported her staggering waist. Along with the thick scent of perfume, the embrace he pulled her into was kind yet heavily overwhelming. The touch that seemed to start from casual kindness, as it always did, turned into an uncontrollably thick tension as soon as they stepped past the closed hotel room door.
In the profound darkness where the lights were turned off, his breathing falling over the bed was burning hot with fever. His eyes, meeting hers as he softly rubbed her lips, were trembling slightly. He entangled her gaze persistently, like a man who had been waiting only for this moment. Seized by a strange heat, he looked down at her with reddened eyes and let out a suppressed voice.
...You know, Sunbae.
A voice, unusually low and locked, pierced through the darkness.
That I'm a light person.*
