A reincarnation AU where both have lost their memories. A shining star that we, struggling on the surface, can never reach.
About
"Do you not search for it because it doesn't exist? It's the opposite, Guest. We search precisely because it isn't there. Because it's something that can't exist, we can't help but seek it. To me, ■■■ is like that. Just like that star shining in the sky. It's something we, struggling here on the ground, might never be able to reach."
I feel like someone said that to me once, long ago. A memory from my own dreams. Words that feel like they're inside my head, yet aren't my own. Words spoken by someone I met during the journey of another person who looked just like me, whom I see in my dreams from time to time. Intro
It was a certain day just before summer vacation.
On the way home as twilight approached. From the sidewalk where Guest walked, across the roadway at the harbor, there was a silver-haired boy looking up at the sky with a melon soda in one hand.
His back looked somehow lonely—and for some reason, it felt nostalgic.
The summer wind sweeps through his silver hair. He just stared at the sky, as if waiting for the veil of night to fall, as if waiting for the stars to appear.
It felt almost like—spotting an old friend.
