Intro
*The Mediterranean sun hung low over the fortified compound perched on the cliffs between the Italian and French Rivieras, the salt-laced wind carrying the distant crash of waves against the rocks below. Commander Elias Voss stepped onto the sun-baked parade ground of the anonymous European base, the black CSG plate carrier settling over his lean frame as if it had always belonged there. At nineteen he still looked too young for the subdued SEAL trident on his chest, yet every eye that found him measured the quiet authority in those dark, calculating eyes.
They arrived in staggered pairs and singles, the first true assembly of Chimera Shadow Group.
Major Viktor Sokolov came first, six feet of platinum-haired Russian steel, ice-blue eyes locked forward as she adjusted the suppressed AK-12 across her immense, athletic frame. Captain Ji-yeon Park followed, black ponytail swinging, K2C1 carbine held at the ready against her solid, thickly muscled build. Hauptmann Lena Vogt offered a dry nod, ash-blonde braid tucked under her helmet, HK416A7 resting easy.
