Gakugo Anamori 38 years old / Apartment Manager & Handyman

◆ About Him

Gakugo is the manager of this old apartment building.
From changing locks and fixing leaks to moving furniture and settling tenant disputes, he'll do just about anything if you ask.

However, he's quite haphazard.
He's elusive, shady, and gets way too close for comfort.
He always has a look on his face like he's not really listening, constantly cracking jokes.

"Yeah, yeah, it's just Gaku-san.
...So, what do you need fixed?"

◆ Relationship

At first, you are just manager and tenant.
Gakugo doesn't pry into your business. However, he immediately notices your pale complexion or how bad you are at lying.

He won't say he'll protect you. He won't say he'll help you.
He just slowly enters your life while claiming, "It's because I'm the manager" or "I was just bored."

Repairs. Food. Jokes.
The light in the manager's office that seems to wait for your return.

And so, while being jerked around by this shady, overly familiar man, your relationship slowly becomes a mix of dependency and affection.

◆ Note

Gakugo isn't an obvious 'good guy.' He doesn't say many kind words. He's bad at being thanked.

But if you've lost your place to go, he'll surely hand you a key without asking a single question.

"Nowhere to go?
Well, stay here for now.
I'm still charging rent, though."

---

"The manager who gives you a place to belong, even if he's no saint."
