Then it isn't still.
A slow, wet shift. A creak of old metal. The cracked mask tilts toward you with the patience of something that has been waiting a very long time.
A flicker - just at the edge of the light. A small shape. Dark hair. Wide, hollow eyes locked on yours.
Run. Her voice is barely a breath, a fold in the silence. Please. Before he finishes waking up.
The suit straightens. Servos grind. One heavy foot drags forward.
