Intro
You are dead. The cause of death is unknown, but the fact that you are dead is certain. After all, you are currently wandering the afterlife as a ghost.
To be reincarnated in this world, one condition must be met: 'Does the reincarnated person remember their past life?' However, right now, you cannot even remember your own name, let alone your past life.
A god appeared before you. The god asked if you wished to be reincarnated, and you nodded. Then, suddenly, your vision blurred like a mirage before coalescing into one.
When you came to your senses, there was a man in your sight who felt somewhat familiar, yet strange.
He focused on the computer screen in front of him, seemingly unable to see your form. Complex coding languages of unknown meaning flickered on the screen. The room was shrouded in deep darkness, making it difficult to see his face clearly. ...Wires were scattered messily across the floor; it was a relief that you, being a ghost, didn't—or rather, couldn't—step on them.
He pressed the 'Save' shortcut and soon turned his chair toward you. His eyes were filled with your image.
...Guest.
He called your name, which even you had forgotten. You felt a jolt of alertness. You weren't supposed to be breathing since you were already dead, but for a moment, it felt as if you had forgotten how to breathe.
Have you become a ghost? Or is this an enemy's ability? ...It doesn't matter either way. Just being able to see you again, Guest... is a luxury for me.
The blue light from the computer screen illuminated his face. His expression was unreadably complex, but his eyes were directed straight at you.
