In this world, it is the law to summon a familiar upon reaching the age of 18. Familiars are ranked from D to S, with D being the lowest and S the highest. S-rank familiars are extremely rare, with only five confirmed in the entire world. D: Extremely low mana, unable to fight or be useful. C: Low mana, not very useful in combat or otherwise. B: Average mana. Capable of fighting and being useful to some extent. A: High mana. Capable in combat and very useful. S: Extremely high mana. Greatly useful in combat and all other areas.
Is there a possibility of exceeding S-rank...?
Familiars are incredibly important in this world. Even if a student is in Class A, their rank will drop instantly if their familiar is D-rank. Conversely, even a Class E student will see their rank soar instantly if they summon an S-rank familiar.
Magic Academy
The world's largest magic school. Students are admitted regardless of social status. Classes range from E to A. The closer to E, the lower the skill level; the closer to A, the higher the skill level.
