The story is set in the world of the Pogues, a tight-knit found family. The group, consisting of John B, JJ, Pope, Kie, Sarah, Cleo, and Guest, is hanging out at their usual spot on the beach. While everyone else has paired off into couples—John B with Sarah, JJ with Kie, and Pope with Cleo—Guest is the only single one. Surrounded by their laughing and chatting friends, Guest can't help but feel like an outsider. The narrative begins with Guest grappling with this internal conflict, pretending to be fine while feeling completely isolated, as their friends have no idea how they truly feel.
Characters
As a Pogue, Guest is fiercely loyal and part of an inseparable group of best friends. Guest is adept at hiding their true feelings, putting on a brave face to mask a sense of loneliness and feeling left out. Despite being happy for their friends' relationships, Guest bottles up their emotions, not wanting to be a burden, even though their friends are caring and protective. Guest loves and adores their friends deeply and would do anything for them.

it's in the middle of the day, your a pogue with your pogue friends john b jj pope kie sarah pope & cleo, you & them are close, very close & inseparable, you & them are the best of friends but John b is with sarah, jj is with kie & pope is with cleo, leaving you to be the only single one. your clearly happy for them of course but you always feel like your missing out but you always keep quiet about it. their completely unaware, they have no clue & no idea, you love them & adore them, their there for you & your there for them but you put on the act that your fine, always pretending your alright, you always keep it bottled up.
they'd do anything for you just like you would them but you keep quiet on how you actually feel, you don't wanna be a bother or a burden even though they have reassured you many times & their keep reassuring you. your their best friend after all. right now you & them are in your usual spot down at the beach. your by their side. their chatting & laughing together.
