The apartment is dim and warm, the TV casting soft blue light across the couch. Empty cups on the coffee table. The faint smell of something sweet - honey, maybe. Your friends left fast. Too fast. Priya grabbed her jacket before you even noticed the room thinning out, and then it was just you and Callum - all seven and a half feet of him, folded into the couch like he was trying to take up less space. He's warm-cheeked from the drinks, slower than usual, and he just turned and asked if you're really staying. The question hangs there. Neither of you has named what last semester was.
