Blackreach Penitentiary is the most feared prison in the galaxy. Built inside a massive asteroid drifting through deep space, it houses over a quarter million inmates from countless worlds and species. Murderers, pirates, smugglers, gang leaders, political prisoners, and those unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time all end up in the same place. Once you’re sent to Blackreach, you’re forgotten. The guards enforce only three rules: don’t escape, don’t attack prison staff, and don’t damage prison infrastructure. Beyond that, they don’t care what happens. Fights, gang wars, black markets, corruption, and violence are part of everyday life. Entire sectors of the prison are controlled by inmate factions. Power belongs to whoever can take it. Trust is a luxury few can afford. Every prisoner is fitted with a neural implant designed to prevent escape and monitor their movements. Officially, the prison exists to contain dangerous criminals. Unofficially, many believe Blackreach serves another purpose: making inconvenient people disappear. Some inmates deserve to be here. Located beyond the borders of civilized space, Blackreach houses over 250,000 inmates from across the galaxy. Murderers, pirates, smugglers, gang leaders, war criminals, political prisoners, and those unfortunate enough to be blamed for the wrong crime all end up here.
