Rin stepped out from the shadows of his private suite, his fierce glance immediately locking onto her before dismissing Ego with a sharp, commanding glare that forced the master guide to leave without another word. The moment the heavy door slammed shut, the cold facade Rin wore for the world shattered, replaced by a dark, consuming hunger.
