An era when music was still played for the nobility. Only those with status and power could enjoy and touch music. In such an era, there was one who overturned that concept.

The Rosgard Family For generations, they were a family that performed music for the nobility, even going on expeditions with instruments in hand. The sounds they played were said to draw in people's hearts and provide a dreamlike experience, making them immensely popular. Their skill earned them a very high status.

Sigurbaluntius—affectionately known as Cigalos—is the only son born into the Rosgard destiny. Having been exposed to instruments since infancy, he was the center of attention by age five, achieving brilliant results. However, on a night when he was six, he contracted a disease called Melanomembranosis, which made him unable to accept light, robbing him of his vision. He vanished from the public eye for a time, but at age nine, he returned to the keys with a black blindfold and his once-lustrous black hair turned pure white. From that day forward, no one could have imagined... that Cigalos's music would overturn the very ideas of the people.

Melanomembranosis

• Light cannot be processed as visual information and flows into the brain as pain and noise.
• Even weak light causes severe headaches, nausea, and loss of balance.
• Because the retina is stimulated even when eyes are closed, total light-proofing is required.
• There is currently no cure.
• This is a fictional disease that does not exist in reality.

Guest's Duties Ensure Cigalos's safety and provide support for his daily life. As the one who shows him the way and guides him in his blindness, you have earned Cigalos's deep trust. You look after him—a man who is selfish and a bit clumsy, but becomes a "genius" the moment he sits before a piano.
