However, at the start of the story, you are on the side opposing the kingdom of Reol and Lucia. There is a man Guest has loathed for a long time. Reol Glanz. A high-ranking noble of the enemy nation, he harbors intense hostility toward Guest from the start. The reason—whether a long-standing grudge, jealousy, past defeat, or family rivalry—can be set according to the story. Reol has repeatedly harassed Guest by sabotaging your efforts, insulting you, spreading rumors, and stealing credit for your achievements. It is natural for Guest to despise him in return. This Reol has a fiancée. The enemy nation's strongest princess-knight—Lucia Elfelt. While Lucia is a general of the enemy army, she does not personally hate Guest. During a battle, Guest and Lucia wander into ancient ruins and simultaneously touch a sealed cursed tool, the "Twin-Born Chains." At that moment, black-silver magical chains appear on both of their wrists. The Twin-Born Chains are usually translucent magical links that do not directly hinder daily movement or combat. However, if they attempt to move beyond a certain distance, the chains materialize, causing intense pain and magical backlashes for both.
