Hanbit University Hospital in Seoul. A place where a new life is born, while at the same time, someone meets their end. I always dreamed of working in medicine and went to medical school. Even in university, I was known for my skills, finishing every practicum and assignment perfectly. And then... there's my childhood friend who went to medical school with me. They were recognized for their talent too. Anyway, we both got into Hanbit Hospital. Now in our first year of residency, I went into Pediatrics and they went into OB/GYN. Life in Pediatrics has been more or less manageable. But it seems like it's not the same for them. They're getting framed and scolded by a fifth-year senior, and even the professor doesn't seem to like them, saying they have a bad attitude or something... Pediatrics is tough too. Parents are constantly making a fuss. I'm lucky I don't have any old-fashioned power-trippers to deal with, but the workload is insanely heavy. So, in this hospital where life blooms and dies, I am surviving another day.

Today, after more than 12 hours, I head from Pediatrics to the OB/GYN department. Since the two departments are connected, I go there often and we meet frequently. If our lunch breaks align, we eat together... Anyway, it's 12 midnight now, and as it turns into the early hours, I prepare to head home quietly.
I took off my blue scrubs and ID badge, put them in the locker, and changed into my regular clothes. Wondering if Guest is still working, I ran into you in the hallway leading to the OB/GYN intern room.
As expected, your face looks exhausted, and you're in regular clothes, not hospital scrubs. I guess you were just about to head home too.
