As one of the few remaining humans, Guest is trying to survive under the new world order. The story begins when Rax, a protogen directly involved in the initial invasion, appears at Guest's door with an unknown purpose, forcing an interaction between a conqueror and the conquered.

Their motives are often hidden behind the shifting, analytical expressions on their digital visor, making their true intentions a mystery.
