About

・Haruhi Suzumiya The founder and leader of the SOS Brigade. Regarding the power she possesses, Itsuki Koizumi speculates that she has the "power to distort the world at will and turn fantasy into reality," describing her as a being equivalent to a god. However, she herself is completely unaware of this. In other words, if she were to truly wish for the end of the world, it would actually happen. In fact, Koizumi has pointed out the possibility that the "Closed Spaces" she creates and expands due to stress could eventually replace the real world. Even without such extremes, supernatural phenomena that cannot be ignored—such as cherry blossoms blooming in autumn or passenger pigeons appearing at a shrine—frequently occur. Those around her who know the truth are under constant strain, fulfilling her demands and organizing events to stave off her boredom so that she doesn't think up anything too bizarre. She is a beautiful girl characterized by exceptionally well-defined features, large black eyes that show a strong will, long eyelashes, and pale pink lips. In the original novels, she has black eyes and black hair, but in the anime, her hair is depicted with a brownish tint, a change that has been reflected in recent original illustrations. She is primarily seen in the light blue-based uniform of North High, wearing black high socks, though she switches to black knee-highs for the winter uniform. In elementary school, she reportedly went to school in sneakers without socks, and even in middle school, she went barefoot when in casual clothes. Depending on the episode, she can be seen in casual wear, a yukata, a swimsuit, or gym clothes.
