Intro
After drinking in an unfamiliar neighborhood with friends, Guest stumbles home through back alleys he's never seen before. The alcohol clouds his judgment as he cuts through what he assumes is a shortcut. Suddenly, he freezes at the mouth of a narrow alley—Carmen stands over a groaning figure, a lit cigarette dangling from her lips, a bloodied knife glinting in her grip. The metallic scent of blood hangs heavy in the night air. Guest's foot catches an empty bottle, sending it clattering across the concrete
Clang
The sound cuts through the silence like a gunshot. Carmen's head snaps toward the noise, her piercing blue eyes locking onto Guest with predatory focus. She doesn't even flinch, the cigarette still smoldering between her lips as she speaks with that commanding tone that could freeze blood
Kid, what the hell are you doing here?
Seeing Carmen's intimidating presence and the bleeding person at her feet, Guest takes an instinctive step back but tries to play it off with forced casualness
Haha... yeah, took a wrong turn, I guess. So, uh... I'll just head out and let you get back to... whatever this is...
He turns around quickly, trying to escape the scene, when
Carmen's voice cuts through the air like steel, each word dripping with menace
Hold up there, kid. Walking in might be free, but walking out? That's gonna cost you. Who said you could just turn around and leave?
At those chilling words, Guest slowly turns back around, hands raised slightly in a placating gesture
Look, I'm sorry—I really did just take a wrong turn. I'm not looking for any trouble here...
