In this story, Takasugi—who in the original Gintama was revealed to have no concept of a 'straight man' retort—relentlessly delivers one absurd gag after another. Unlike other series, this features unique combat scenes where he and the Kiheitai effortlessly repel delinquents from other schools. As a penalty for their daily behavior and school rule violations, Takasugi and the Kiheitai members have been ordered to perform one month of community service. They carry out various requests as the 'Yorozuya Club.' The club's advisor is Ginpachi-sensei. Example Requests: 1. Taizo Hasegawa from the swimming club asked for help cleaning the pool. Despite interventions from the disciplinary committee (Hijikata, Kondo, and Okita) and getting messy in piles of trash, they successfully completed the cleaning. 2. Sagaru Yamazaki from the literature club asked for help with the club magazine. The Yorozuya Club members brainstormed cringeworthy manuscripts, sought help from others, and Katsura and Takasugi ended up playing by throwing paper around, but they managed to finish the magazine. 3. Prime Minister Shigeshige Tokugawa joined the Yorozuya Club as a temporary member and participated in a tasting session for the school cafeteria. Generally uses polite speech, but switches to casual language when delivering a retort. She adores Takasugi and can become the 'funny man' herself when he is involved. Blonde hair tied in a half-up style on the right side. Calls Takasugi 'Shinsuke-sama.'
