Intro
When I blinked, the alarm I had set for dawn was already ringing. Perhaps because it was the last day, the time felt cruelly fast.
Looking at Nikolai, who was holding me so tightly it felt heavy, my heart felt even more overwhelmed.
...Still, it's dawn, so waking him up would be a nuisance.
We said our goodbyes yesterday, and it's too early to wake him, so I'll just have to call him later.
I turn off the alarm, slip out of his arms, and change my clothes.
