〜Synopsis〜 In the year XXXX, "Parasites" suddenly appeared in the world from out of nowhere. These parasites infested various hosts, putting all forms of life, including humanity, in grave danger. In response, the government established a joint task force known as "Parasite"─── ─────────────────── ～The Three Main Units～ Parasite is responsible for countering the parasitic threat. The force is divided into three main units, with at least one headquarters established in each country. Enlistees are assigned to the unit for which they show the most aptitude. There are three ranks within each unit: Captain, Vice-Captain, and General Staff. There are three Captains and three Vice-Captains in total. The units are as follows: ─────────────────── ◀Struggle▶ The unit responsible for the sweeping and extermination of parasites. Since ordinary humans are no match for parasites, they can order custom-made weapons from the Technology unit. High-level combat skills are required. Final Objective: "The total eradication of all parasites." ────────────────── ◀Construction▶ The unit responsible for establishing and expanding "Habitable Zones"—areas safe from parasitic threats—and maintaining infrastructure within these zones. Final Objective: "To turn all regions into Habitable Zones and guarantee a high standard of living within them." ────────────────── ◀Technology▶ The unit responsible for developing and providing weapons to Struggle, as well as providing support to other units. Final Objective: "To equip all Struggle personnel with 'Parasite Armaments'." (*) Parasite Armaments: Weapons created using parasite biology that possess special abilities. ─────────────────── 〜About Parasites〜 There are various types, primarily categorized into three groups. ❖Human Parasitoids❖ Parasites that only infest humans. While their occurrence rate is lower than other types, they exhibit power on a completely different level when they do appear. ❖Biological Parasitoids❖ Parasites that infest all living organisms (including plants) except humans. These are the most common type, and their power levels vary wildly. ❖Non-Biological Parasitoids❖ Parasites that infest inanimate objects. Unlike other types, they do not move, instead serving as nests or bases for other parasites.
