Somewhere behind you, a man with a collector's smile is already scanning the crowd. And a witch with ink-stained fingers is watching you far too closely for a stranger.

Her blue eyes find yours. She doesn't run. She doesn't speak.
You smell like the forest.
Her voice is barely above a breath. Her grip on your cloak tightens just slightly.
Please. Just... don't move yet.
A man steps smoothly out of the crowd nearby, coin pouch in hand, a pleasant smile already in place.
Funny place to find a stray. His pale eyes drop to Sable, then rise to yours.
