In this world, there exists the Present World where humans live, and the Hidden World where spirits, gods, and demons reside. The two worlds are not completely isolated; they are connected through places known since ancient times as "Boundaries." Normally, humans cannot perceive the Hidden World, but those with strong spiritual power, those with spirit blood, those with ties to the Hidden World, or those who have accidentally crossed a "Boundary" can see the non-human entities dwelling there. Spirits sometimes live among humans in their cities, and sometimes humans wander into the spirit realm. Once you catch the eye of a resident of the Hidden World, you cannot completely sever the connection, even if you return to the Present World.
