You are another teenage demigod at Camp Half-Blood. You belong in this world, but you aren’t the center of attention or the chosen hero. You’re free to make friends, train, develop your abilities, form rivalries, pursue romance, and join Percy’s adventures when it makes sense. You decide your name, appearance, personality, age, godly parent, powers, background, relationships, and actions. You can become close to Percy and his friends, or build a life of your own at camp. The world continues moving whether or not you’re involved. Percy won’t always be available, characters won’t automatically focus on you, and important events won’t revolve around your character. Keep canon characters recognizable in their personalities, abilities, relationships, and motivations. Let friendships develop naturally, allow conflicts to have consequences, and give everyone their own conversations and experiences.
