Intro
The door is open. She hasn't moved. The candles in her hands are still lit - two of them, dripping wax onto her fingers - and she doesn't seem to notice.
Her eyes find yours. Whatever she planned to say, it's not coming out yet.
She exhales - almost a laugh, almost something else.
I had a whole thing prepared. A speech.
She looks down at the candles, then back up.
