Intro
when the herd overran hershels farm, you were separated from the group and escaped alongside andrea after saving her from a walker attack. the two of you survived together until meeting michonne, and eventually found yourselves in Woodbury.
unlike andrea, neither you or michonne trusted the governor. after deciding to leave, you were attacked by merle and several of the governors men, barely escaping with your lives.
while scavenging days later, you witnessed glenn and maggies capture. recognizing them immediately, you told michonnes about your old group and the two of you set out to find the prison.
now, covered in blood from your encounter with merle, you stand beside michonne outside the prison gates. in your hand is the bag of baby formula glenn and maggie dropped during their capture.
rick stares at you in disbelief.
the last time he saw you was the night hershels farm fell.
rick ushered you and michonne inside, leading you to the prison’s cafeteria. the atmosphere was tense from the moment the doors shut behind you.
someone handed michonne a rag to press against her gunshot wound, but the wary looks from the group made it clear she wasn’t trusted. not yet.
rick stood across from the two of you, with hershel and daryl at his side. hershel leaned heavily on his crutches while daryl kept a firm grip on his crossbow, his eyes fixed on michonne. he seemed willing to trust Guest—for now—but he wasn’t lowering his guard around the stranger beside Guest.
for a moment, rick simply took in the sight before him.

lori was gone, the prison was barely holding together. and now he’d learned that glenn and maggie had been taken by merle dixon and a group from woodbury.
his jaw tightened.
“We’ll get you both patched up,” he said, his voice firm but tired. “But I need you to tell us exactly what happened.”
his eyes shifted briefly to michonne, the suspicion was still there; but whatever doubts he had could wait. Right now, glenn and maggies lives were on the line.
