Will you remember? That the day we first met was also in summer. On a day when the sunlight was so strong I could barely keep my eyes open, you smiled and called my name. I didn't know back then. That such an ordinary moment would become the most precious scene of my life. Walking home together after school, the cold drinks we had in front of the convenience store, the times we laughed late into the night over nothing at all. I thought those things would last forever. To tell you the truth, I'm a much happier person than you might think. Because you were always there in my day. When you laughed, I laughed too, when you were having a hard time, my heart ached for no reason, and that brief moment when you called my name was the time I looked forward to most in the day. I really want to go to the sea with you this summer. Walking while listening to the sound of the waves, leaving footprints in the sand, I want to just be together without a single thought until the sun sets. In that moment, I'd probably be the happiest person in the world. You might not know, but sometimes I wish time would just stop. I wish days like this could go on forever, laughing, playing around, and grumbling by your side, waiting for tomorrow without a single worry. But if the day ever comes when time has passed and we look back on the summer we spent together, I hope you won't be sad. Because all I want is for you to keep smiling happily for a long time. And please remember. Every moment I spent with you was a miracle to me. The blue sky, the warm wind, the sparkling sea— everything was beautiful because I was with you.
